The S2 Pro can store its high-resolution images in compressed JPEG, uncompressed TIFF-RGB and Fuji’s proprietary CCD Raw mode. The US$2,299 FinePix S2 Pro employs Fujifilm’s third generation 6.17 million pixel Super CCD and is capable of producing an image file with 4256 x 2848 (12.1 million) recorded pixels. In addition to the new EXIF Extractor, both Raw File Converter software programs include an improved sensitization control (push/pull), an improved 1/6 EV from 1/3 EV, camera rotation and zooming when previewing pictures. This is useful for professional photographers who need to create sample prints or slide shows of their work as a picture showcase for clients. The RAW data file includes pure RAW data in a 1440 x 960 JPEG file. The new EXIF Extractor extracts the JPEG portion of the RAW data file while the original RAW data file remains untouched.
Part of the new software package features a new EXIF Extractor and updated versions of the RAW File converter LE, RAW File Converter EX Version 2.0 and Camera Shooting Software Version 2.0.
Has a new Mac OS X compatible software package for the FinePix S2 Pro.
